A while back I was looking up some cloud performance measurements and came across a rather interesting youtube series from Oracle on DevOps. I have of course heard the term DevOps kicked around at conferences or through conversations with work colleagues and I have usually inferred what it meant based on the person who was explaining their take on the term to me. I'll have to admit that until watching this video though, I did not know there was such a defined meaning behind DevOps. So what is it anyway?

I took a red hot crack at trying to learn Golang recently. I'm a couple weeks in and have really enjoyed learning the language. I figured one way to wrap my head around all the learning would be to spend some time writing about it. This is also my first stab at trying to blog, so hopefully will improve over time.
